Why is Streamlang Effective?

It's no secret that the best way to get better at understanding spoken Mandarin Chinese is to practice. Ok, so what should you be watching or listening to in order to improve?

Arguably the most important thing, you should enjoy whatever you're watching. Learning is a lifelong journey, and if you don't even like it, the ride's going to be rough.

Arguably the other most important thing, you should understand enough to get the general idea of whatever you're watching. The fancy language learning term for this is called Comprehensible Input. Super smart linguists like Stephen Krashen think this is the best way to go for acquiring a new language.

We're learners just like you and have struggled with finding enjoyable content that's not too easy or too hard. At first we were just curating YouTube channels, but we wanted a better way to organize and learn vocabulary too. So, we started tinkering away...

Now, Streamlang is a learning tool we use every day to practice listening and to grow our vocabulary effectively. We hope you find it essential too!
